Moving to Spain: Discover the charms of Valencia

Moving to Spain: Discover the charms of Valencia

Moving to Spain: Discover the charms of Valencia. Valencia, the welcoming capital of the Costa de Azahar, is a city with charm and an unrivalled lifestyle. With a temperate Mediterranean climate that provides sunshine most of the year, the city offers an exceptional quality of life.

It combines its rich history with a modern infrastructure. The City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic architectural complex, is an icon of the city and the old town, with its medieval architecture, lively squares, and narrow streets, invites you to lose yourself in its historic charm.

Valencia is known for its festive and cultural atmosphere. Traditional celebrations, such as the Fallas, attract people from all over the world for impressive firework displays. It also hosts many cultural events, music festivals, and art exhibitions throughout the year.

Valencia’s gastronomic offer is another of its strong points: paellas and fresh seafood dishes delight the most demanding palates. In addition, Valencia has excellent public transport services, including an efficient and extensive metro network, making it easy to get around the city and its surroundings.

Valencia city offers some of the best beaches in the country, thanks to its climate and excellent location. La Malvarrosa is the best known and busiest: a fine sandy beach located to the north of the city’s port, bordered by the seafront promenade with all kinds of services.

Undoubtedly, Valencia is an exceptional city to live in that is also just a stone’s throw away from the incredible Costa Blanca.

The Costa Blanca in Spain is a destination full of charm, where smaller villages offer authentic experiences alongside spectacular beaches. As well as the most popular tourist destinations, the region is also home to some lesser-known but equally stunning beaches. Here are five must-see destinations, along with some hidden beaches that will surprise you:

Altea. Known as the “white village”, Altea charms visitors with its bohemian charm and stunning sea views. Close to the town centre, Playa de la Olla is a small pebble cove surrounded by pine trees, perfect for enjoying a peaceful day by the sea.

Moraira. This charming coastal town retains its authenticity and offers a relaxed experience away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Cala Llebeig is one of the most special places in Moraira as it is the most difficult to access, which makes it one of the least crowded and preferred for those who wish to spend a day at the beach with stunning views and a crystal clear sea without the crowds of tourists found in the other coastal areas of the town.

Guadalest. Inland on the Costa Blanca, Guadalest is a charming village offering spectacular views and a tranquil atmosphere. A short distance from the village, you will find the Guadalest Reservoir, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in calm waters surrounded by nature.

El Campello. This coastal town is known for its relaxed atmosphere and golden sandy beaches. Playa de Muchavista, an extensive beach over 3 kilometres long, is perfect for enjoying a day of sun and sea with family or friends and offers a wide variety of services and water activities.

Xàbia (Jávea). This coastal town combines natural beauty with historical charm. Cala Granadella, a small pebble cove surrounded by cliffs and pine trees, is a perfect place to enjoy a day at the beach and explore the seabed with snorkelling equipment.  Cala Portitxol, a small golden sandy beach flanked by cliffs, is a perfect place to enjoy the sun and sea in a peaceful and picturesque setting.

These destinations and beaches invite you to discover the authentic beauty of the Costa Blanca, far from the crowds and bustle of the more touristy destinations.
