Our Managing Partner, León Fernando del Canto, has published an opinion piece in the journal The Huffington Post in which he analyses the last Madrid’s High Court’s sentence on the payback of the income tax paid by a taxpayer when receiving a maternity leave.
Del Canto considers that there is a gap between the granted taxpayers’ interests protection by the Tax Law and the Spanish Tax Agency’s actions. “It seems that [the Spanish tax office] is not willing to change its interpretation despite a higher Court has ruled against it”.
